Icon provided Construction Management services for this publishing company’s project encompassing the build-out of eight floors of office space and facilitating the relocation of Fairchild’s entire operation from 7 West 34th Street to 750 Third Avenue. The 3rd floor project included the installation of a 1,000 sq. ft. server room with full uninterrupted power supply (UPS), redundant supplemental air conditioning units and a pre-action sprinkler system that supports the occupants of all eight floors. Design elements which were implemented during the build-out of each floor included end grain wood flooring, suspended wood ceilings, sand-blasted glass wall paneling and specialty lighting consisting of both pendant and recessed fixtures. Detailed executive spaces were also part of the scope. Due to the complicated timing of lease requirements and a phased move schedule, portions of the project were bid out to subcontractors separately. The entire project was completed on schedule and below budget.
