First Solar

Icon was contracted by First Solar’s Ohio-based project management team to assist in the completion of their New York City office relocation. Project challenges included the requirement for LEED Silver Certification, an extremely aggressive schedule due to an approaching expiration date on their current space, tight budget constraints and an Ohio-based client team. Additionally, the Building was completing renovations of corridors and bathrooms on most floors, concurrently. In order to achieve the project goals, significant coordination was required between all Project Team members, Building Management and other neighboring tenants. Design finishes included low-profile straight and curved demountable metal & glass wall system partitions, back-painted glass, a steel and end-grain wood block reception desk, millwork and fabric paneling and fully integrated IT, audio/visual and security systems. The project was completed on time and within budget, and received LEED Silver Certification.
