Private Residence - 768 Fifth Avenue

After purchasing a two bedroom apartment at the world famous Plaza Hotel, the Owner hired Icon to complete additional renovations to complement their design aesthetic. Wood and glass sliding walls were built on a German track roller system. Mahogany panels including custom cut, patterned veneer were applied to the glass in the field and then set into place. This process required the existing ceilings and oak floors to be modified to allow for the installation of a top and bottom track system. New recessed lighting was installed throughout the residence and an entirely new audio/visual system was installed. New custom-made fixtures were also installed in all of the bedrooms. An eight week pre-construction period allowed for the coordination and fabrication of the wood and glass panels as well as for the procurement of all necessary materials. Icon’s detailed upfront planning enabled construction to be completed in three weeks, coinciding with the client’s fast-track schedule requirement.
